How it all started...
Life Church exists to reach the lost, hurting and broken for Jesus Christ. In the summer of 2024 in the small, close-knit town of Albany, KY, a group of passionate believers felt a stirring call in their hearts. It began as a group of dynamic visionaries with a heart for community and a passion for bringing people closer to God.
Many of the launch team members had previously served in ministry roles in various places. One evening, during a quiet time of prayer, they felt a profound nudge to plant a church in Albany, KY. Fueled by this divine inspiration, the launch team consisting of open hearted people lead by God decided to take a leap of faith.
They formed a core team that included musicians, teachers, and organizers, each feeling a unique calling to serve. The team began meeting in their living room, praying fervently, planning, and dreaming about a church that would be a beacon of hope and love in Albany.
The first service was modest, attended by just a handful of curious locals. But the atmosphere was electric with the Spirit, filled with heartfelt worship led by Sarah Flatt and an inspiring message from Adam Britt. Word began to spread, and soon, more people from the community started attending, drawn by the church's mission of love, acceptance, and purpose.
Life Church Albany is a place where people from all walks of life find a family. The church prioritizes outreach to the community, seeking the lost, helping the addict become free, discipleship the believer and creating student ministry programs to keep the local kids engaged and inspired.
